At all times, the aim of an immersive experience is to create the illusion of “being there.” The “where you are” and the “what you are doing” can be mundane or it can be fantastical. You may find yourself setting a dinner table in what looks like a classic sitcom or piloting a starship on the most incredible set imaginable. 

The closer the experience gets to evoking the sensations and emotions of “being there” the more that experience is a success.
